I have had the Galapagos on my life to do list for as long as I can remember wanting to travel. I loved the thought of these islands being created and moving ever so slowing away from the point of creation and being surrounded by animals that are only unique to this location. They are beautiful and so full of life in the water and some on land. What surprised me was that they were more of a desert climate versus what you normally think of for tropic islands. I loved that we would go to an island that had black sand in the morning and then in the afternoon go to one that had red sand and then or course the ones with the white sands. The water was crystal clear at all of the islands we visited. I swam with a sea lion, not by choice but was so very glad to see him as his fin while swimming side ways in the water coming at me concerned me with the possibility of a shark atfirst. I might have aged a few years during that moment. Oh the stories of travel!
